What We Store

mas_theme (localStorage)

Essential (UX)

Provider: Filmclusive Studio

Purpose: Remembers the last selected light/dark/system visual theme to avoid flashes of unstyled content.

Storage: localStorage • Retention: Until the user clears browser storage.

mas_resources_auth (sessionStorage)

Essential (Security)

Provider: Filmclusive Studio

Purpose: Keeps the gated /resources area unlocked for the lifetime of the browser tab once a client password is entered.

Storage: sessionStorage • Retention: Session (tab) only.

filmclusive_cookie_consent

Essential (Preferences)

Provider: Filmclusive Studio

Purpose: Stores your explicit cookie preference choices so we do not show the banner again until you change them. The cookie version allows our server to respect your privacy choices for telemetry.

Storage: localStorage & Cookie • Retention: Indefinite until you clear or reset browser storage.

Vercel Analytics (first-party cookie)

Analytics

Provider: Vercel, Inc.

Purpose: Collects anonymized page views, session duration, device, and geography heatmaps for the homepage and logged pages.

Storage: First-party Analytics cookie • Retention: 24 hours; hashed identifiers rotate automatically every day.

Google Maps embed cookies

Marketing / Embeds

Provider: Google LLC

Purpose: Drives the embedded map content shown under the glossary “Embeds” section and records interactions with the iframe.

Storage: Google manages cookies/identifiers • Retention: Managed by Google; we only load the iframe after marketing consent is granted.

How Consent Works

The cookie banner allows you to toggle analytics and marketing/third-party embeds separately. Essential storage never blocks, but analytics data only flows to Vercel when you allow analytics, and the Google Maps iframe only renders when marketing consent is granted. Your choices are stored locally for certainty.

We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser session.
